FAQ
Heating repair questions
Why is my heat pump blowing cold air?
In heating mode it may be in a normal defrost cycle for a few minutes. If it blows cold for longer, the reversing valve, refrigerant charge or thermostat setting may be the problem.
How often should a furnace be serviced?
Once a year, ideally in the fall before the first cold front. It is included in our maintenance plans.
Is a furnace or a heat pump better in Austin?
Heat pumps work very well in Central Texas because winters are mild. Many homes use a heat pump with a gas furnace as backup for the coldest days.
